We arrived in Kentucky the first week of September. Jim was starting work for Amazon.com for a seasonal position in the warehouse. When Jim signed up for the job we were sent a packet that had all the information needed to make reservations at a campground in the area and start dates and such. We had 3 options of campgrounds to choose from on the paperwork.
We chose the one that sounded the nicest, which was on the lake and right next to a State Park. When we got there after weeks of anticipation we were very surprised to pull into a park that was not done being built. We were told that we could get moved into a site but that we would only have electric. They would have to bring us water and come by every so many days and empty the sewer holding tank. This was not what we had planned at all and needed a little more convience than that.
So we started looking for a new campground. We found one that was within walking distance from Amazon and the owners were absolutely wonderful. They welcomed us in and made our stay there very comfortable. I would highly recommend this campground if you are ever in Campbellsville, Ky. (Heartland Campground)
While we were in Kentucky we experienced a lot of amazing places and things to do. Right outside of town was Green Lake State Park. We would go and walk on the trails out there and enjoyed the autumn colors of the trees.

We had an amazing time in Kentucky, and made some wonderful memories and some great friends. With the commitment done there, we were due to travel back to Texas and take some time off to relax again.
